Motion editing

You would’ve undoubtedly noticed that a dashed line is added to the “Stage”, when we inserted a “Motion tween”.

This dotted line is called the “Motion”.

The color of this path is the color of the layer, or rather the color that is used to contour the layer that will be displayed. So if you want to change it, double-click the “Contours” icon of this layer and change the color in the dialog box that appears.

But this is purely informative, you don’t see a motion unless you play a movie.

Like any other line we have drawn in “Flash”, we have the opportunity to edit this “Motion” also.

With the “Select” tool, we can move and bend the path.

The “Sub Selection” tool is the white arrow below the “Select” tool, we can add curves to the “Motion” by clicking and dragging the “Bezier handles.”

“Keyframes” in the “Motion” appear as a control on the path.

The tool allows you to control “Sub selection” and “Bezier handles” on the path displayed, that correspond to each property of the “Motion tween” in the “Keyframe”.

To add a “Keyframe”, select the frame in the “Motion tween”, and click the F6 key on your keyboard.

When you make a non-linear motion such as arcs in a line or a circle, you can tween the object. In this case the car running while taking the path. Here you ensure that the position of the object relative to the path remains constant. Select the option “Orient to Path” in the “Properties window”.

If you want to bend the motion between two “Keyframes”, use the “Selection” tool (1).
To show the “Bezier handles”, just click a “Keyframe” in the “Motion” with the “Sub Selection ” tool (2).

Eventually it becomes more of a “crazy bug”.
