Motion editing

The motion, which was added by Premiere, can be edited.
The easiest way to do this is to zoom in on the monitor pane so you can see its path better.
To zoom in on the motion right click in the Monitor pane, and select “Magnification” in the pop-up menu. Please select an option from the list.

Each motion has at least two motion levers, one for each main frame.
When you move the cursor above these, it changes to a black arrow with a circle.

By clicking and dragging, we can change the direction of the path.

If you want to watch the clip, in this case superman, rotate it so that it looks in the direction that he flies, then change the rotation angle by using this option to click and drag either to the left or right (1).
Remember post the first time indicator in the correct frame, otherwise it might be the case that he flies up while looking down.

When we select “Rotation” we can make this change, and this option automatically creates a main frame (2).
So you see that each option under the “Motion” effect has its own keyframes when something is changed for an option in that particular frame.

We now come back to motion controls.
In the picture below you can see that each keyframe in the keyframe pane, is also displayed in the monitor, and that these all have a lever movement.

To remove a keyframe, select it in the main frame pane, and press the Delete key on your keyboard.
To move a keyframe in the timeline, click and drag this frame in the main pane to the desired place.

Here’s another tip.
When our superman in the first keyframe is scaled to, say 50%, and in the last frame is scaled to 150% it looks like he is flying towards you, which is a bit of a 3D effect.
