SmartSound

If you need background music, and you can’t play any instrument, you can use a small application that comes with Premiere Elements, namely “Smart Sound”.
We use the SmartSound features to vary the length of the soundtrack to suit the length of the film.

Just click the “Audio Tools” button at the top of the timeline and select “Smart Sound” in the drop-down list. If you have not registered with SmartSound you have to do it now.

Once you’re done, and SmartSound has searched your hard disk, you get to see the image below. This application is in English, but I think you already knew that.
But for all of you who want to download background music, this application is worth registering for.

Click the “Click here to select music” button.

Select some music in the list, and click the “Play” button to hear a sample.
If you are satisfied you click the “Select” button.

In the next dialog box give the file a name, select a folder where you wanna save it, and click the “Save” button.

In the dialog box that appears, you can adjust the length of the music clip to the length of your project, and the tone of the sound can be changed by clicking the down arrow button next to the “Variation” box.
Click the “Preview” button to listen to the music again.
If you are satisfied, click the OK button.

This places the music file in the Soundtrack.
You will also find this reflected in the “Project” pane.
