Lesson 22: “Templates” (1)

22/87 Lessons

Available “Templates”

If we do not want to waste too much time formatting a “Worksheet” and entering “Formulas”, we can use “Templates”.
In “Excel”, we have hundreds of “Templates” that we can use for free.
Just click the “File” button and choose the “New” category. In the middle of the window we find the different categories.
As an example, I click the “Bills” category. “Excel” searches online for the available layouts in this category.

As soon as it finds them it displays all of these in the center of the window. When you make a selection, its example is shown on the right side of the window.

Select the “Template” of your choice and “Excel” will download it for you.
Note: Be careful when changing formulas in a template as your “Template” may become unuseful if the wrong cells are changed. After everything is filled out, click the “Save” button in the “Quick Access” toolbar.

Choose a location where you want to store the file, give it a name, and click the “Save” button.
