Including multiple “Chart” types in one “Chart”

When the values between different data sets are far apart, we can have a different “Chart” types for different sets of data.

First select the series that you want to change the “Chart” type for.

In the above example, the data is “Clients”.

Just click the downward pointing arrow in the “Chart Area” in the “Layout” tab under the “Chart Tools”.

Choose the “Range” in which you want to change the “Chart” type.

In this case, “Clients”.

Choose the “Design” tab from the “Chart Tools”.

Click the “Change Chart Type” button.

Choose a “Line Chart” for example, and click OK in the dialog.

Right click the data series “Clients” and select “Format Data Series” from the drop-down menu.

In the “Format Data Series” dialog box, select “Options for the series” on the left

And on the right, select “Secondary Axis”.                                           And click Close

                    

 

“Chart template”

When you create a “Chart” which you want to use repeatedly, you can save it as a “Template”.

To do this, first select the “Chart”.

Choose the “Design” tab from the “Chart Tools”.

And click the “Save as template” button.

This opens the ” Save Chart Template” dialog.

Enter a name in the “Filename”.

In the “Save As” option, the extension is already completed for a “Template” (. Crtx).

Click the “Save” button.

 

If you want to use this “Template” again later, first select the “Range” for the “Chart”.

Click the “Insert” tab at the top of the “Ribbon”.

Click one of the “Chart” types, it doesn’t matter which.

At the bottom of the drop-down menu, choose for “All Chart types”.

In the “Insert Chart” dialog, click the “Templates” folder on the left.

On the right side of the dialog box, your previously created “Templates” will appear.

When the mouse pointer moves over the “Template”, the “Template” name will show.

Select the template you want, and click OK.

 

To modify an already created “Chart” in a “Chart Template”, select the “Chart”, and click the “Change Chart Type” button.

In the dialog that appears, we again find our “Templates” folder at the top.

Click this and choose your “Chart” on the right.
