Lesson 47: Templates (2)

47/58 Lessons

Add editable region

To add an editable region in your template, first open the template of course, place the cursor in the template where you want the editable region.

Click the “Insert” button in the menu bar and select “Template Objects”.

In the drop-down menu choose “Editable Region”.

Personally I type some text at the place where I wish the editable region, select it and click the button “Insert” – “Template

Objects” – “Editable Region”.

But this does not.

In the dialog window that appears, give the editable region a name and click the OK button.
This adds an area to the place you had selected in the template.

I make a second editable region, at the top of the page for my title. It’s not good to leave the welcome on every page. Eventually they will even start thinking that they are welcome.

So I select the title and then click the button “Insert” – “Template Objects” – “Editable Region”.

I give this area the name “title” and click OK.
Then we have two editable areas in the template.

Template to new page

To create a new page with a template, open the new page, click “Modify” in the menu bar and select “Templates” – “Apply Template to page”.

Select the template in the window and click the “Apply” button.

The template gets inserted into the page immediately.

We can only click and change the editable with our mouse.

We can not change any other areas, when we move the cursor over a locked area, then it changes into a circle with a slash.

In both “editable areas”, we can place anything that we want, text, photographs, tables. Except of course your wife.

Awesome!
