The “Swatches” panel

With the “Swatches” panel, we can save, import, with third party colors.

In the “Languages” panel, click “Window” in the menu bar and select “Samples” in the drop-down menu.

For a color to succeed we must first select the color.

Just click the “Fill” tool in the tool bar.

Move the mouse pointer, which is now turned into a pipette, select the color you want to save, and click.

The color that you want to save is now in the “Fill” tool.

Select the “Swatches” panel, move mouse on an empty spot and click.

The new color is added to the “Swatches” panel.

In the color picker, you will notice the “Gradient” that I had made and stored in “Colors” in the previous lesson, also appears in the color picker.

To color an object with the color, you select the newly created object, you click “Fill” in the tool bar, and then choose the newly created color in the color picker by clicking.

To select a color from the “Swatches” panel and remove, select the color in the “Swatches”.
You click the downward pointing arrow in the gray bar at the top of the window, then choose “Delete Swatch” in the drop-down menu.

This will remove the color from the “Color” panel and the color picker.

To share a color with others, click the downward pointing arrow in the gray bar at the top of the window, and select “Save Colors” in the drop-down menu.

In the “Swatches Export” dialog, choose a folder where you want to save this color file.

Your color indicates the file a name, you choose the file type “Flash” color set (*. clr).

And you click the “Save” button.

If you wish to share all this with others, you can mail it to whoever you want. The only requirement is that he or she also has to have the “Flash” program available, otherwise there is little they can do with it.

For those of you who received this file, to be able to use it, you must first load it.

Just click again on the downward pointing arrow in the “Samples” and select “Replace Color” in the drop-down menu.

In the “”Swatches Import” dialog, navigate to the color file just received, and you click the “Open” button.

Awesome!
