Crop Perspective

Crop Perspective is not new in Photoshop CS5, but it’s easier.
We now have it over a grid.
By clicking and dragging the vertices of the grid, we can see the vertical lines of the grid parallel with the vertical lines in the picture.
Select the checkbox “Perspective”, choose the “Grid” as cropping guides.
Click and drag the pieces of the grid to the edge of the cut out, and click the Enter key on your keyboard.

If your photo is stretched, open the dialog “Image Size” and change the dimensions in the “Width” or “Height”.
Depending on whether the width or height is stretched.
Uncheck the box for “Constrain Proportions” (1) and change the units in “Percent” (2).
If the picture is stretched in width, then you reduce that percentage.
To open the “Image Size” menu, click the “Image” in the menu bar and select “Image Size” in the drop-down menu.

Click the OK button to confirm.

Photo straightening

The option “Straighten Photo” is also a lot easier in Photoshop CS5.
The only thing you have to do is to select the “Ruler” tool, draw a line in the image that you want to use as a frame for your image and click the “Straighten” button.

The image is immediately straightened and cropped.
The crop in the previous version manually done.
If for some reason, you do not wish that the image is cropped immediately, hold the Alt key on your keyboard pressed while you press the “Straighten” button.
