Copy and Paste Quick Mask

Now that we have completely finished quick mask, we also want to do something with it.

We will provide an example of a different background.

We open a second picture, in this case, something with a little water, so he does not get too many bumps on his first dive.

The first thing we do is to convert the quick mask into a selection. Simply click the “Quick Mask Mode” at the bottom of tool bar or click the “Q” key on your keyboard.

Now we will copy our background picture in the photo with the selection.

First select the entire background image.

A quick way is to click Ctrl + A on your keyboard.

Then click on the buttons Ctrl + C on the keyboard to copy the background to the clipboard.

Then select the picture-selection (that is the one with gloves). And select “Edit” – “Paste” in the menu bar. (The shortcut is Shift + Ctrl + V)

That does not look bad, but this is not really what I want for this picture, I want it as the background.

How do we do it?
Very simple, if you know how.
Just click Shift + Ctrl + Alt + V on your keyboard.
At last:

Looks good, if I can say so myself.

Another Tip.

When you’re making a selection in the “Quick Mask” mode (which can only use a drawing tool), it can sometimes be difficult to select on a dot, eg between two fingers. First switch to selection mode by clicking the Q button on the keyboard, select the tool “Polygonal Lasso” (1), click the top option menu ‘Remove from selection “(2), select the hard to reach part (3 ) and then switch back over to the Quick Mask Mode (Q key).

Awesome!
