Shifting Titles:

While for most of our projects static titles will be sufficient, other projects will require sliders for the image slide. For example, credits of a movie.
With the vertical and horizontal scrolling text options you can create professional-looking, animated titles.

With the text selected, click the “Insert Options” button at the bottom of the Text pane.
This opens the “Insert Options” dialog box.
All of these options seem clear to me.

I might have to discuss the “Pre roll” and “Post Roll” options.
In the first one you need to specify the number of frames that must be displayed before the vertical or horizontal shift begins. In the second you need to specify the number of frames to be displayed after the vertical or horizontal shift is complete.

The length of the title clip in the timeline determines the speed of the shift.
The longer the title clip, the slower the shift.

It looks like this.

Text is added to an animation inwhich you don’t have the sliding option.
But, you cannot animate several lines of text.

Changing the Stack Order

When different objects in the text box you created overlap, you can set the order in which objects are stacked with the “Arrange” command.

To do this, first select the object you want to move.
Right-click on the object and click on “Arrange”
Select “Title”, “Sort” and select from the following options:

  • In foreground: This puts the selection above the object on the stack.
  • Emphasizing: Lets you change the object to the previously selected object.
  • To send back: Lets you place the object down the stack.
  • Reverse steering: Lets you replace the object with the one immediately behind it.

Adding images to titles:

We have the option of adding an image to a title to add a graphic or we can place the image in a box, so that it is part of the text.

By default, an inserted image appears in its original size.
Once the image is inserted in a title, you can set the image properties (eg scale) in the same way you set those of other objects.

We can place an image in a title in a number of ways.
The first way is to click the “Add Image” button at the bottom of the pane.
The second way is to right click in the Monitor pane, click and select “Image” – “Add image” in the drop-down menu.
The third way is to click the “Title” button in the menu bar and selecting “Image” – “Add image” in the drop-down menu.

Drag the image to the desired location in the Monitor pane.
You may select the size, opacity, rotation and scale of the image.

A picture in a text box, can be used in a number of ways.
One way is right click on the Monitor pane select “Image” – “Insert image in text”.

A second way is to click the “Title” button in the menu bar and select “Image” – “add text in image” in the drop-down menu.

Select a picture and click Open.

When you insert an image into a text box, this image behaves like a character in the text. The image can have the same characteristics as other characters, such as lines.
