Audio Recording

Even when all our clips have the necessary transitions and effects, there will be some among us who would still like to add some sound.
This can be background music, a voice, or a mix of both.

Let me begin with a voice.
In Premiere you don’t need any extra application to record your voice, all you need is a microphone connected to your computer.

To record sound, we have a number of options.
The first is by clicking the “Audio Tools” button above the timeline, and selecting “Add Narration”.
A second way is by clicking the “Window” button in the menu bar and selecting “Narration” in the drop-down menu.

This opens the “Record voice narration” dialog box.

The only thing you need to do is to press the red button to record your voice.

Once you are ready, click the same button which has been changed to a button with a black square and close the dialog box.

The newly recorded narration is automatically placed in the “Narration” track.

If you have multiple narrations in various clips, I can only recommend that you have a separate narration for each picture.
