Delete Text

In “Word”, we can easily delete characters, words, paragraphs, or text in your “Document”.
We use the “Backspace” and “Delete” keys on our keyboard to delete text while typing.
You can select any text, click the “Delete” key and the text will be removed.
You may select a part of a text and begin typing and the same thing happens.
You might be able to compare it with the OVR button in the status bar.

Cut, copy and paste text

Several times we copy or move text from one place in the “Document” to another .
For this we have the “Cut” Image09 , “Copy” Image10 and “Paste” Image11 in the “Standard Toolbar”.
Or we choose “Cut” (“Cut”), “Copy” (“Copy”) or “Paste” (“Paste”) under “Edit” in the menu bar.

The “Cut” and “Paste” are used to move text.
The “Copy” and “Paste” are used to copy text.

When we “Cut” or “Copy” text, it gets posted in the “Clipboard” used for “Word”.
In “Word” 2003, XP and 2000, we repeatedly “Cut” or “Paste” using the “Clipboard”.
In the 2000 version, the clipboard is accessed via the “View” – “Toolbars” in the menu bar.
In versions 2003 and XP it is one of the windows in the “Task Pane”.

When you “Copy” an item, and immediately “Copy” another item, without pasting the first item, it gets lost, but this is not a problem in versions 2000, 2003 and XP.
All “Copy” and “Paste” functions are kept on the “Clipboard”.
Even if we “Cut” or “Copy” from another software program.

Clicking on the function displays an arrow with blue background.
Such a drop-down menu displays which we can choose, the “Paste” (“Paste”), or “Delete” (“Delete”).

You can use the functions in the “Clipboard” repeatedly as many times as you want, as long as the function is not removed from the “Clipboard”, or you have completed the program.

In “Word” 97, we can “Cut” or “Copy” only one item .

“Undo” and “Redo” button

The “Undo” button Image13, and the “Redo” button Image13 are the most used buttons in the “Word” application.
The Undo button allows us to “Undo” the last thing that we have done.
The black arrow beside this button even gives us the ability to “Undo” multiple actions.
The “Redo” button does just the opposite. It does the actions we have undone with the “Undo” button.
Do you follow? Try it out, it becomes clear.

The “Repeat”

The “Repeat” function (“Repeat”), which is found by clicking “Edit” (Edit) in the menu bar
One can repeat the last action.
For example, you have just pasted an item, you can repeat this by clicking “Edit” – “Repeat” in the menu bar.
