Entering Data

The point of intersection of the column and the row is a cell. We enter all our data in cells.
To identify a cell use the column title (eg A) and the row number (eg 1).
Thus, in the image below the selected cell is B3.
You can see it is defined by the black frame and the name in the “Name box”.

Text is left aligned by default, numbers are right aligned by default.
Once you’ve typeq the data in the cell, click the Enter key on your keyboard.
This moves your cursor one cell down in the same column.

In order to enter information into a cell, first select the cell and start typing.
The information that you type appears in the cell and in the “Formula bar”.
As soon as you start typing, two additional buttons appear in the “Formula bar”, with the first you can delete information already entered, and with the second you can confirm the information. I have never used these two buttons.
The easiest way to confirm is to just click the Enter key on the keyboard, and to delete data, select the cell again and press the Delete key on keyboard.

Insert Columns, rows and cells

To insert a row we first select the row above which you want to insert a row.
You do that by right-clicking on the row number, and choose “Insert” from the dropdown menu.

To delete a row right click the row number and choose “Delete”.

A second way to add a row is to click on the arrow next to “Insert” on the “Ribbon” and select “Insert Sheet Rows.”

To delete rows using the “Ribbon”, click the downward pointing arrow next to “Delete” in the “Ribbon”.

Same for columns, you first select the column by moving the mouse pointer over the column title until it turns into a black arrow, right click and choose “Insert” from the menu.
Columns are always added on the left of the selected column.

Inserting columns using the “Ribbon” is the same as inserting rows.  Just choose “Insert Sheet Columns” in the pop-up menu.

If you want to insert multiple columns or rows, click the F4 key on your keyboard, this repeats the last command executed.

To add cells select the cell, right click and choose “Insert” from the menu, or choose “Insert” in “Ribbon”.

Whatever you choose, a dialog box opens where you must select the option you want to do with this cell.

Or you move this to the right, or you move this down.
