Save and Save As …

Once you have entered data, you want to save it. The quickest way is to click on the “Save” button in the “Quick Access” toolbar.

A second way to save your date is by clicking on the “File”button.

If you have made changes to an existing “Workbook” then select “Save”. If it is a new “Workbook”, or you want to save the existing “Workbook” under a different name, choose “Save As …”.

When you choose “Save As …” , a dialog box opens.

By default, “Excel” will choose to save the file in the folder called “Documents”.

You can of course change this and select the folder where you want to save the “Excel file”. You could also create a new folder to store all your “Excel” documents.

If you have used functions in a previous version of “Excel” that are not supported, you get this message.

Click “Continue” if you do not really care or select “Cancel”, and save the file as an .xls file in case you want all the features of this file to be retained.
