Lesson 82: “Comments”(2)

82/87 Lessons

Changing the Shape of “Comment”

To change the shape of the “Comment”, we have to select the right option.

To do this, we need to add the “Change Shape” button to the “Quick Access” toolbar or the “Ribbon”.

As an example, I will add it to the “Quick Access” toolbar.

Just click the downward pointing arrow next to the “Quick Access” toolbar and choose “More Commands …” from the drop-down menu.

In the dialog that appears, in the top dropdown box, choose “All commands” (1).

In the list below, select “Change Shape” (2) list item.
Click the “Add” button (3) or double-click it and click OK.

The “Change Shape” button is now added to the “Quick Access” toolbar. First select the “Comment” and then click the “Change Shape” button. From the drop-down menu, choose the shape by clicking it.

The shape of the “Comment” is changed only for the comment that was selected, not for previous “Comments” or when creating new “Comments”.

Printing “Comments”

We have two ways to print the “Comments”. You can print the “Comments” on the “Worksheet” or you can print the “Comments” after the “Worksheet”. In order to print “Comments”, they must be displayed. So, first click the “Show All Comments” button in the “Review” tab of the “Ribbon”.

Next, choose the “Page Layout” tab in the “Ribbon” and click the arrow pointing to bottom right in the “Page Setup”.

This opens the “Page Setup” dialog box.

Choose the “Sheet” tab and click the downward pointing arrow next to the “Comments” box.

From the drop-down menus make the choice between two possibilities:

“At end of sheet” or “As displayed on sheet.”

Click the “Print Preview” button.
