Lesson 42: Animating Objects (3)

42/59 Lessons

Animating “SmartArt”

To animate a “SmartArt” we do the same thing that we do for text or image.
Select the “SmartArt”, click the “Animation” tab and click the “Add Animation” button.
In the list of animations, choose an animation.

As with text animation, we have different “Effect Options” for “SmartArt” animation .

When you’ve chosen the “Effect option ” every object in the “SmartArt” has its own “display line” in the “Animation Pane”.
By default, the various parts of the “SmartArt” randomly appear in the slide. How we can adjust these will be seen in the next section of this lesson.

Set “Animation Panel”

The playback order appears to be a nice little change to my enthusiasm.  We can do it in the “Animation Panel”.  This panel displays each object of the “SmartArt” in its own indication line.  To change the display order of these and make it a little orderly, we select the “Display lines” one by one and choose any option “After Previous” or “With Previous” for the “Start” in the “Ribbon” .

If you wish, you can display a group of objects at the same time for which, you choose the below indication lines “With Previous” in the “Ribbon”.  It’s a bit hard to explain but, consider the line, logo and text (1) as a group.  So for each object in a group you give the same “Start” setting (A), so that these will appear at the same time in the slide.  To setup the “display line” for a certain object, highlight it in the “Animation Pane” and choose the setting in the “Start”.  Again, it is all much harder to explain than it actually is.  What could be done maybe in the next version of “PowerPoint”, we can provide a clearer names to the indication lines. Now these are all the same, so it only makes it more complicated.

Awesome!
