Lesson 43: Animating Objects (4)

43/59 Lessons

Animation of “Charts”

Like any other object on a slide, we can also animate a “Chart”.

To do this, first select the “Chart” in the slide, select the “Animation” tab, click the “Add Animation” button and choose an animation from the list.  Also in the animation of a “Chart” you have several “Effect Options” (1).  You can also set the order of appearance of the display lines shown in the “Animation Pane” (2), if you choose to display the different elements from different parts of the “Chart”.

“Animation Paths”

At last, I want to show the animation paths.  In this example, I use a piece of text on the third slide.

The first thing I do is, place the text outside the slide. I want it to come from outside to inside the pages .
With the text still selected, I select the “Animation” tab, click the “Add Animation” button and choose an animation from the “Animation Paths” category.
This places the following path in the “Chart”.
The path is composed of a start point (1), an end point (2), a pivot point (3), and a shape point (4).
The starting point determines the starting position of the object.
The endpoint determines the final position of the object.
With the pivot point we can turn the object.
And with the shape point, we can change the shape of the path.

Click the “Effect Options” to see the various effects that you can apply.

Choose your “Sequence” as “Per paragraph”. Then each paragraph in the text has its own path and you can have a different start and end point and the shape of the path for each path.  Here’s an an example.

If you wish, you can still go try it. I can recommend editing this path and clicking the “Play” button to see how editing a path is shown.

Awesome!
