This is a lesson to celebrate Halloween. It’s just an example of placing and moving “.gif” files and customizing backgrounds with matching music. Since there are so many gifs to be used, the following is a list of actions that is to be performed.

 

New show

• Create a new show titled “Show 28_Halloween”. Click [File]> [New show] and change the title in the Show Title box to “Show 28_Halloween” and retain the aspect ratio at 4:3. Click [Create].

 

First slide with a layer as the background

• For the 1st slide we create a blank slide. Then we change the background which was used in Lesson 28, the “Background.gif”.

 

Changing the duration

• The duration of this slide is set at 10 sec. The transition time is set at 0 sec.

 

Placing and moving .gifs as layers

• Select the following .gif files and drag them as layers on the 1st slide:
  Halloween_f (32), Halloween_f (31), Halloween_f (22), Halloween_f (23), Halloween_f (24), Halloween_f (24), Halloween_f (25), Halloween_f (22), Halloween_f (23), Halloween_f (26), Halloween_f (26), Halloween_f (27), Halloween_f (28), Halloween_f (29), Halloween_f (29), Halloween_f (30), Halloween_f (33), Halloween_f (33),

Select a layer and add the desired motion effect to it.

 

Copying slides

• Copy the first slide. This is our 2nd slide. The duration of this slide is set to 2 seconds.
  The transition time is set at 2 sec and we select “Squares Out – Inward Spiral” as the transition.

 

Placing and moving gifs as a background on the 3rd slide.

• For the 3rd slide, we use the photo, “Halloween Photos_f (2)” as a background. Drag the following gifs as layers on this slide: Halloween_f (8), 4 times, Halloween_f (10), Halloween_f (9). Add the necessary motion effects.
• Set the duration to 10 seconds and the transition time to 2 seconds and select the same transition as above.

 

Placing and moving gifs as a background on the 4th slide

• For the 4th slide we use the photo, “Halloween Photos_f (1)”, as a background.
  Drag the following gifs as layers on this slide:
  Halloween_f (17), Halloween_f (4), Halloween_f (5), Halloween_f (2). Halloween_f (1), Halloween_f (3), Halloween_f (3).
  Add the necessary motion effects.

 

• Set the duration to 10 seconds and the transition time to 2 seconds and select the same transition as above.

 

Inserting and trimming Music

• Drag the “.wav” file to the [Soundtrack] and trim it so that it fits the show.

 

Saving the Show

• Save this project by clicking [File]> [Save As], selecting the appropriate folder using the explorer and if necessary changing the filename.

Creating a file in MPG2 format

• Click the [Create Output] button and select [Video File] and use the following settings.
