In Proshow we have standard styles, transitions, menus, etc… in the setup. The makers of this application give us the ability to add additional similar items. This is only valid for registered users. When you register you can make use of this benefit for one year.

 

How does this work?

 

Selecting the action

• Go to [File]> [Download Extras]> [Download Extras] in the menu bar.

Click [Download Extras].

 

• Then open a popup menu [Please wait – Downloading Information], “Please wait while ProShow Producer downloads information. This may take a few minutes.”

The program then searches the Internet for available information and displays it in a new popup menu.

You get a list of available information. Everything that is in bold and marked as “Available”, is available.

 

Selecting “extras” from the list

• Select one or more items and click the button [Install Selected] at the bottom of this menu, to install the selected items.

 

The download

• The program then copies this item (s) from the Internet to your ProShow application. You can follow the progress of the download. A green bar indicates the progress just above the slide list.
• If the download is complete, you will get another dialog with the message, [All downloads have been completed] i.e, the file has been copied. Click [OK] and this extra(s) component is copied.

 

First time usage

• When you use it in Proshow for the first time, i.e, when such transitions are selected, they will just take  a little longer. The program then makes them fully available for use.

 

Second option

There is another way of downloading extra(s).
Click [Manage Slide Styles] which can be found under [Slide]> [Slide Styles] under the [Manage Styles] tab.

Using the [Download] button you can download extras in the same manner as described above.
