Normal View

We can “View” our “Presentation” by selecting the “View” in the menu bar and selecting “Normal” display (“Normal“)
In this picture we have 4 panels:
In XP and 2003 we find a panel on the left with two tabs:

  • “Outline View”
  • “Slide”

We can “View” in anyway we wish.
Clicking on the X on the right side of the panel will close this. It can be opened again by clicking on “View” in the menu bar and selecting “Normal”.
In the middle panel we find the slide again.
Again, we can make changes to any object.
Ususally, this is where we make changes.

Under this panel, we find the “Notes” panel.
Alternatively, we can make note here, which we can offer as assistance in the “Presentation”.
These “Notes” also appear in the “Notes view”.

And on the right side we find the “Task panel”. (XP and 2003)
This can be useful when we make changes in design or animation.

On the right side of our “Slides” we find the “Next Slide” and “Previous Slide” buttons.

Outline View

We use this “View” to a get clear insight on the content of the “Presentation”.
We can use the “Toolbar” to put more or less emphasis on texts.
When your mouse points over each button, you get a screentip for each of them.
Trying out all this once, it becomes clear.
When you make any changes that are not correct, you can use the “Undo” button.

In the 2000 version we choose “Automatic picture browse” (“SlideView“), When we clicked on the “View” button (“View“) in the menu bar.
In this “View”, we can edit all text and insert pictures or animations.
Here too we find the “Next” and “Previous” buttons, to our right.

les04_image04_en

In the “Notes” view, we see a small image of the slide below which there is a large text area where we can explain or enter help information for your “Slide”.
In versions 2000, XP and 2003, we can also enter “Notes” in “Normal View”.

Playback Slideshow

We open the “Slide show” by clicking on “View” from the menu bar and selecting “Slide Show “.
In “Slide Show”, we can see how our “Presentation” will eventually look like.
When we view the “Slide Show”, this will give us full screen view and we see no “Toolbar”, not even a “PowerPoint” “Application” window.
To navigate between the different “Slides”, we use the right mouse button.
To navigate to the next “Slide” we can click on our “Spacebar” on the keyboard.
We can view the entire “Presentation” by clicking “Slide Show” in the menu bar or clicking “View Show” button .
To exit the “Presentation”, we click the ” Esc” key on our keyboard.
