Add Effect

To make our movie even more attractive we can add effects to one or more slides.
To do this, select the picture or movie in the storyboard, and select the tab “Visual Effects” in the menu bar.
Move the mouse pointer over the effect, and you’ll see an example of it in the preview window.
Click the effect that you want to apply.
If you want the effect to apply to multiple slides, first select all the slides you want the effect to apply, and then click on the effect.

Alternatively you can apply an effect to a portion of a film by first splitting it into several parts.
Select the tab “Edit” (1), insert the time indicator where you want to split the movie (2), and click the button “Split” (3).
Then select the split part of the film, and provide these with an effect.
You can use any part of the film with any effect.

Add Multiple effects

You also have the ability to add multiple effects to a slide.
Scroll down to the bottom of the list of visual effects (4), and select “multiple effects” (5).

This opens the dialog “Add or remove Effects”.
If you want to add an effect, select it in the list of “Available Effects” (A), and you click the “Add” button (1).
This places the effect in the list of “Displayed effects” (B).
To delete an effect from this list, select the effect and click the “Remove” button (2).
You can change the order of effects in the list by selecting it, and clicking the “Move Up” or “Move Down” button.

Removing Effects

To remove all effects and I mean the visual effects, transition effects and zoom effects, we need to select the type of effect and select the “None” setting.

You can do this for multiple slides at once by selecting all, but for each type of effect you must do this separately.

So first select the slides that you want to remove the effects.
You select the tab “Animations” and select “None” for transition (1), and “None” for panning and zooming (2).

Do the same for the “Visual Effects”.
Select all the slides, click the tab “Visual Effects” and select “None” (3).
This will remove all the visual effects applied to all slides. Even if you have used multiple visual effects on a slide.
