Slow Motion

We have the opportunity of having embedded videos in the project, wholly or partly in a slow motion.

Select the video in the storyboard (1), click the downward pointing arrow next to the box “Speed” (2), and choose a lower number in the list.
If you choose a higher speed, then the display of video is accelerated.

If you wish only a part of the video in slow motion display, you have to split this video.
As an example, I will split this video in three parts, the middle part of which I will show in slow motion.

I place the first time indicator at the place where I want the first time split (A) in the video.
Now the video is split in two and I place the time indicator at the place where I want to split the video again. Probably this is the second part, but this does not matter.

As long as our video is split into three parts (B).
Select the middle part of the storyboard (4), and change the speed in the box (5).

When you choose the movie, you will see that a slow motion effect was added in the middle of the film.

Snapshot

For those who might not know what a snapshot is, this is a snapshot picture of, for example, a particular image fragment from a movie.

The first thing we do to make a snapshot, is to select the video in the storyboard.
Then move the time indicator to the position in the video that you want to make a snapshot (1).
You can see an example of the picture in the preview window (a).
Click the “Snapshot” (2) when you’re done.

This opens the dialog “Save Snapshot”.
Navigate to a folder on your hard drive where you want to save the photo, and click the “Save” button.
This not only puts this picture in the folder,

but also places it in the storyboard behind the movie (1), from which you have created a snapshot.

Now you may ask why this picture is also saved in a folder on your computer.
But those who have good attention will know that every picture and / or movie that you used in the storyboard, must be on your computer somewhere.
