Sharing Information

1. Calendar via e-mail

In Outlook 2007 you have the option to share your calendar via email.
The receiver can view it in his browser or in Outlook.

To do this, first select the “Calendar” in the navigation pane (1).
Click “Calendar via e-mail” in the navigation pane (2).

This opens the “Calendar via e-mail” dialog box.
In this dialog we can choose several options. All these seem obvious.
Click the OK button when you’re done (3).
In the email give the address of the recipient (4).
And click the “Send” button (5).

This was easy, wasn’t it?
Note: In the e-mail, you can event enter some message if you wish.

2. Publishing Calendar online

In Outlook 2007 we also have the option to publish our calendar online.
First select the “Calendar” in the navigation pane.
If this is the first time that you are publishing a calendar, you must first register with Office online.
When this is done, click “Publish My Calendar” in the navigation pane.
This opens a dialog with some options that resemble les06_image02_en
options for calendar via email.

The only difference in this section is “Permissions”
Here you must choose whether the published calendar is accessible to everyone, or just for invited users only.

If you choose the first option then (and) the invitee (s) must have the e-mail address and password with which you are registered.

By clicking on the “Advanced” button, it opens a second dialog box where your upload method and the update frequency can be set. Both seem to be clear.

Click the OK button.
Click the OK button again in the first dialog box.

A window is displayed where you see your files, in this case thecalendar you just uploaded to the Internet.

les06_image03_en Once the calendar has been published, it asks whether you want to send sharing invitation to other people.

When you click on “Yes” button it will open a new message where your invitee (s) can be enterd.

Click the send button when you’re done.
Theinvitee will then receive an email containing two links.
The Calendar can be downloaded and viewed in an Outlook.
Or you can look at your calendar online, in other words view it on the Internet.
