Crop Perspective

Another word about the “Perspective”.  What we can do is, to straighten a picture using perspective.

Select the “Crop” tool in the tool bar and draw a marquee in the photo.

Select the checkbox “Perspective” in the options bar and click and drag the corners of the selected in the correct position (1).

Click the Enter key on your keyboard to select the record (2).

If your picture was stretched, it will be in most cases, open the dialog “Image Size” and change the dimensions in the “Width” or “Height”.

Depending on that, either the width or height is stretched.

Uncheck the box for “Constrain Proportions” (1) and change the units in “Percent” (2).

Is the picture is stretched in width, then you reduce that percentage, it is aware that you stretched it and reduces it to this percentage.

To open the “Image Size” menu, click the “Image” in the menu bar and select “Image Size” in the drop-down menu.

Click the OK button to confirm.

Photo straightening

When you have a picture or scan that is tilted, we have some opportunities to straighten this.

A first way is by means of the “ruler” tool.

The “Ruler” tool is found under the “Eyedropper” in the tool bar.

Select this tool (1) and click and drag in the photo on the part that should be horizontal. For example, the horizon in this picture.

Then click on the “Image” in the menubar, choose “Image Rotation” in the drop-down menu and click the option “Arbitrary”.

This opens the “Rotate Canvas” dialog in which the angle and direction has already been completed.

Click the “OK” button (3).

At that moment the horizon is horizontal, but the picture is rotated (4) and therefore has a white (redundant) edge. To eliminate this, we use the “Crop” tool (5).

Place the cut down by clicking the Enter key on your keyboard, at last, the picture is perfectly aligned (6).
