Create notes

Notes are made for ourselves or for others to remember certain things that are still to be done.
You can compare notes from Outlook with the “Post-it” notes you carry around.
We can customize the color of the “Notes”, font and font size.
“Notes”, like all our other items can be deleted, copied, moved and redirected.

To see the notes folder, click the “Notes” button in the navigation panel.
In versions 2000 and XP, you can Jotter under “Outlook” in the outlook bar.
The Jotter gives us all the “Notes” again that we have created or received.
You can see a note in its own window by double-clicking it.
You can close a note by pressing the X button on top right of the note window.
To create a new note, select “File” – “New” – “Note” in the menu bar.
This will give us immediately a new note window in which we can type our information.

Forward “Notes”

Once you’ve created a note you can send them to friends or colleagues.
Right click above the note and select “Forward” from the drop-down menu.
This opens the window for sending an e-mail.
Enter the email address of the person to whom you want to send.
And click on “Send” in the toolbar.
The “Memo Note” word is sent as an attachment.

Display/Hide Date and time

We can display or hide the date and time in our “Notes”.
we select “Tools” – “Options” in the menu bar.
Choose the “Other” tab.
Click the “Advanced Options” button.
Click the “When viewing notes, show date and time” box.

Click OK.

Color annotations

You can change the color of a note by clicking in the left corner of the title bar of the “note sheet”.
Select “Color” in the drop-down menu, and choose blue, green, pink, yellow or white.

Font annotations

We can customize the font of our “Notes” by clicking on “Tools” – “Options” in the menu bar.
In the “Preferences” tab, click the “Options for Notes” button.
In the “Options for Notes” dialog, we can adjust the color for our “Notes”.
We can determine size, font and font size.

Click OK when you are satisfied.
