“Template”

When you downloaded a “Template” and added your information, such as business name, address, telephone, etc., you may like to use it again.
In order to make this possible, we need to save the modified “Template” as a “Template” on our computer. Just click the “File” button in the “Ribbon” and choose “Save As …” in the backstage view. In the dialog that opens you give the “Template” a name (1) and most importantly, save it as “Excel Template” (2). These have the extension xltx.
“Excel” will automatically save it in the correct folder (3). Click the “Save” button.

If you need to use this same invoice, which you now saved earlier as “Template”, again, click the “File” button in the “Ribbon”.
Choose the “New” category and click the “My Templates” button. This opens the “Personal templates” dialog where you will find your newly created “Templates”.
Double click the “Template” to open it. “Save” the “Template” as a normal “Excel’ file.

“Template” removal

If you have Templates which you no longer use, you can remove them from the “Templates” folder. Click the “Template” and choose “Delete” from the pop-up menu. Confirm by clicking “Yes”. Your “Template” is now placed in the trash can on your screen. In case you have done this by mistake, you can still search for it in the trash can, right-click on the file and choose “Restore”. Once it is deleted from the trash, you have lost it forever.
