Making a Slideshow

In the “Slideshow” module of Lightroom, we make a slideshow of different pictures.
We can then distribute these slideshows in different ways.

The best thing that you can do is, when you make a slideshow, place the photographs that you wish to use in the slideshow, into a collection. I give an example.
As an example, I select the photos that I want in the “Library” module (1), but you can do what you want.
So I select all pictures (2).

Then I select the “Slideshow” module (3), click the plus icon next to “Collection” (4) and select “Create Slideshow” in the pop-up menu (5).

This opens the dialog “Create Slideshow”.
Give the slideshow a meaningful name, select the box “Selected Photos” and click the “Create” button.

As you can see the collection is added to the list of collections and has a different icon than the other collections. So you already know that the collection is aslideshow.

When you return to the “Library” module and select the newly created slideshow collection, you can include photos in this slideshow, just like any other collection.

Double click the slideshow icon of this collection, you are automatically in the “Slideshow” module.
On the right side of the “Slideshow” module, we have some options with which we can edit the show. More on this in another lesson.
On the left we have a number of templates.
These are a number of preset formats that we can use for the slideshow.
Try them when you have a little time available.
Through the menu bar at the bottom of the slideshow, we can start this slideshow, navigate through the various photos, rotate photos add text and pictures.
