Adjust Slideshow

To adjust a slideshow as per our own wishes, we can leave the default template.
Then we open the “Options” window on the right side.

  • The “Zoom to Fill Frame” We can use this to zoom in the photo so that the slideshow is completely filled with the picture. By clicking and dragging in the photo, you can see the position of the photo.
  • The second option places a border around the photo. You can configure the number of pixels of the edge, by moving the lever on the slider. You can determine the color of the border by the color picker button.
  • The third option, “Cast Shadow” puts a dark shadow around the photos. It is best to use this if your slideshow has a lighter background. With the different sliding levers, you can determine the appearance of the shade. Everything here seems clear.

The next window is the window with the “Layout” options.
In this window you can set the guidelines to place the picture, or to show or hide. We can move the image by clicking and dragging the slider levers.
This allows us to include all photographs of the slideshow with the same size.

The next window is the “Overlays” window.
This allows us to add text to the slideshow.
Both a nameplate at the top and text at the bottom.
To change the nameplate, click the downward pointing arrow (1) next to the preview pane. In the pop-up menu choose “Edit” and
in the dialog box that appears, type the text and give this in the markup.
If you want to change the color of the text, click the color picker (2).
If you want to add text to the photo, select the checkbox “text overlays” and type the text in the “Custom Text” box.
Here too, you can change the color by double-clicking the color picker.
You can, at any moment, change the position of the text or the nameplate by selecting it and dragging it to the position you want.
You can also change the size of the text by clicking and dragging the blocks on the edge of the selected text.
The rest of the options seem clear to me.

The next window is “Backdrop”.
Here you determine the background color for the presentation.
This may be a single color or a gradient of colors. Just click the color picker.
This can be another photograph. Just click and drag the photo you wish to use as wallpaper from the film strip, in the preview window.
And this can even be both.

Then we have the window “Titles”.
Adds an intro slide with a title, that is a home screen.
And an end slide with text. A final screen too.
The same here. If you wish to change the color of the slides, click the color picker.
If you want to change the text, the size or the color of your text, click the downward pointing arrow and choose “Edit” from the pop-up menu.

And finally we have the “Playback” window.
In the “Playback”, we can determine duration of the slides, we can add a soundtrack to it.
If you want the duration of the music to suit the duration of the presentation, click the “Fit To Music” button.
The rest of the options seem obvious to me.
The option “Playback Screen” is only available to you when you have multiple computer screens. Here you can choose the screen you want to play the slideshow.
