17. Collaborating with other applications

“OneNote” is an application that works very efficiently with other applications. You can also transfer your notes in “OneNote” to other applications in a very efficient manner. We have already discussed this in the previous section.

Furthermore, “OneNote” has a virtual printer installed. This allows you to print information from any applications in “OneNote”. (This facility does not work with Windows XP. It available only from Windows 7 onwards). You can follow the normal procedure to print the application , but you have to select the option “Send to OneNote” found under the “Options” tab in the “File” menu.

By default, you have a “OneNote” icon present in the “Task bar”, which enables you to collect simple notes from different applications and save information faster..

The “OneNote” icon can also be hidden. You can do this by right clicking the “Taskbar” and selecting “Properties”. Click the “Start Menu” tab on the “Taskbar and Start Menu Properties” window. Then click on “Customize” to change the settings.
