WordArt

In the WordArt program that comes with Word, we can apply graphic effects on text.

  • Select the text where you want to use WordArt with a graphical application (we can enter this text later).
  • Click on the “Add WordArt”  button in the “Drawing” Toolbar

A dialog window “WordArt Gallery” appears with several examples:

  • Choose one
  • Click OK
  • A second dialog box appears
  • Enter text, if you have completed step 1
  • You can also set the font size,bold, italic etc

  • Click Ok

 

  • Select the text by clicking on it if it is not already selected.
  • The floating WordArt menu appears immediately, where we can edit any text

  • The ‘WordArt’ button is used for inserting and editing new text.
  • The  button brings us back to the second dialog box.
  • The button brings us back in the WordArt Gallery dialog
  • The “Edit WordArt ” button gives us a dialog box with several tabs where we can format the text to suit our needs with lines and color, size, position, text wrap.

  • The “WordArt Shape” button
    Clicking on this button displays a menu with a choice of 40 different types of formatting for our text.

 

  • Using this button, we give the same height to all the characters in the text.
  • With this button we can position the letters in the text horizontally or vertically.
  • with the “Align” button we can determine the alignment of the text when it has more than one line.
  • With this button we can define the distance between the letters in the text.

With the “Shadow” and “3 D” buttons in the drawing toolbar, you can further edit the text.
