Mixing colors

For each painting you need to have an artist’s palette.
In the palette we mix different colors to get a new color.
In Paint Shop Pro, we can save these new colors which are not used in our painting and the palette.

To blend colors we open the palette, “Mixer”.

At the top of the “Mixer” we have three buttons:
With the “Mixer tube” button (1) we bring a color in the palette.
With the “Mixer Knife” (2) we mix the different colors on the palette.
The last button is “Mixer Dropper” (3) which is used to select the color that we want to work with.

The first thing we have to do is to get a number of colors to the palette.
Select a color from the “Materials” palette, then select the “Mixer Tube” tool and bring a little of this color to the palette.
Select a second color in the palette, “Materials” and repeat the same thing for this color (1).
If you have multiple colors that you want to add then repeat the process.

Then we can mix these two colors.
Select the “Mixer Knife”, and click and drag the brush across the two colors (2).
You can see that you get an orange tan.

Then select the “Mixer Dropper” (3), place the pipette on the mixed color you want to use (3) and click to set this color for the foreground and the edges (4).
Right-click select a color for the filling the background.

If you wish to save this palette , click the right arrow at the bottom of the palette, “Mixer” (1), and select “Save page”.
In the dialog window that appears, give it a name.
Once you have saved a page you can always access it by clicking the same arrow, but selecting the option “Load Page”.

The rest of these options in this drop-down menu are easy to understand.

The rest of the buttons at the bottom of the “Mixer” pane seem quite clear.
Click the “Browse” button, and it opens the page where you can navigate by clicking and dragging the navigation frame.
In fact your page is much larger than what you see in the “Mixer” palette.

Awesome!
