Clone Stamp

Like the Healing Brush, we can use the Clone Stamp tool to copy samples from the current document or from another open document in Photoshop.
I’ll give you an example of how we can use the clone stamp tool in this lesson.
What do I have, I have a wine bottle, empty of course, on a transparent background.
I want to reach the bottle and copy it several times. I need a little more working space, so I adjust the size of the canvas.
You can do this by clicking on the “Image” in the menu bar and select “Canvas Size”. Faster way is to use the “Crop” tool option, drag the blocks, drag them to the desired size and click the Enter key on your keyboard.

Ok, now we have the desired size for the canvas, we select the “Clone Stamp” tool in the tool bar.

Then I make another layer, because it is here that I want to position the clone of the bottle. This makes it much easier to edit this “clone” later.
You do not have to do, but I recommend it to you anyway. Create a new layer for each change, so that you always have the original available.

With the new layer selected (1), choose the option “Current & Below” in the “Sample” in the options bar (2).
We then determine the sample point by the Alt key on the keyboard, hold down and click in the image (3).
Why we choose “Current & Below” in the “Sample” is because, we want to get the sample from below layer with the bottle.

Then click and drag the mouse in the image to where you want to place the clone.

If you wish to make a part of the clone transparent and a part of it non transparent, no problem, you can change the “Opacity” in the options bar at any time.
For example, to place one bottle behind another bottle and yet to obtain the effect that a bottle is transparent.

Awesome!
