Filter Gallery

In Photoshop, we have a lot of filters, we can apply them one by one, or we can use them in combination to achieve unique effects.
You can apply filters, that are available in Photoshop Filter Gallery, in combination with each other.
This allows us to see an example of the different filters used, alone or in combination with each other. The first thing we do is to create a layer with a smart object. Forgot how to do it?
I think not, but to be sure I will still repeat it here.
Click the button “Filter” in the menu bar and select “Convert for Smart Filters.”

Then click the “Filter” button in the menu bar and select “Filter Gallery” in the drop-down menu.
This opens a dialog in full screen.
This dialog box is divided into three parts.
On the left we find an example of our image.
In the middle column we have the different filters, divided into categories.
To open or fold a category, click the arrow beside the category name (1).
An open category displays thumbnail views of available filters in this category.
To apply a filter, highlight it in the category.
To fold or unfold the entire list, click the arrow to the left of the OK button (2).

If you have added a filter, then a number of options for this filter appear at the top right column (3). These options are different for each filter, so it is impossible to discuss them. You should try it, you’ll immediately see the result in the left side of the dialog.

You can show or hide the fiter by clicking on the box (4) for the applied filter in the filter list.

Down the right column we find a list of applied filters (5). If you wish to change the options of an applied filter, first select the filter in this list.

To add a new filter, click the “New Effect Layer” button (6), down the right column. You can add as many filters as you want.
To remove a filter, select the filter in the list of applied filters and click the “Delete Effect Layer ” button (7).
To apply effects and close the dialog box, click the OK button.
If you do not want to apply the effects, click the “Cancel” button.

When we close the dialog, we see that the filter gallery is used as a smart filter in the panel.
If you wish to reopen your filter gallery, click the name “Filter Gallery” (1).
If you wish to change the “Blend Mode” or the “Opacity” of the filter gallery, click this button (2).
The layer mask (3), which of course you can edit, applies to all applied filters from the Filter Gallery.
