“Chart” menu – Part 1:

 
In this tip, we discuss the creation of a “Chart” and we customize its menu.

Select the cells B4 to N10(1) and copy them.


Right-click cell B15, click on the arrow below “Paste” (1) and select “Paste Link” (2) on the “Ribbon”.

Deleting the contents of cell B15.

Select the cells, B15 to N21.
Click “Insert” (1) on the “Ribbon”, click on the arrow icon below “Area” (2) and select “Stacked Area” (3).


Move the mouse pointer in the “Chart” so that it changes to a four-headed arrow, and click and drag the chart to a free part of the sheet.

Click in the area of the “Legend” (1), so that it is
now framed (2) and press “Delete”.

Click on the lower chart area (1), and press CTRL + SHIFT +1.


In the next “Format Data Series” menu, select the “Fill” (1) tab, click “Solid Fill” (2) and from the “Color” menu (3), select a color and click “Close”.


Select the next field and format it using the same color, and do the same thing for all the other fields in the “Chart”.

Move the mouse pointer to the top of the “Chart” so that the pointer becomes a double-headed arrow and drag it about 1.5 cm upwards (1).


Click in the drawing area of the “Chart” (1) so that the pointer changes to a four-headed arrrow and drag the handle (2) 1.5 cm downwards, approximately.
