Multiple choice with radio buttons – Part 2

Then right-click and choose “Format Control” (1)

On the “Control” (1) tab, we put a checkmark in “3D shading” (2) and click OK.

Double click with the left mouse button on the “Group Box 1” text , select text “Group Box 1” and press Delete (or press the Ctrl key and right-click on one of the lines of the group box and in the subsequent menu choose “Edit” Text) and click anywhere on the worksheet.

Press the Ctrl key and select the 3 radio buttons and group box (1)

Go to one of the lines of the group box, the cursor changes now to a cross, press the Ctrl + Shift keys, and you will see a + sign next to the arrow cursor. Now with both keys pressed drag the selection, with the left mouse button, down to the second question options. Release the left mouse button, but hold the Ctrl + Shift keys pressed, press the left mouse button again and copy the selection down to the 3rd question options (1), and click anywhere on the worksheet.

Click and hold down the Ctrl key on the first radio button so that it is highlighted, release the Ctrl key and right click in the box of the button and select “Edit Text” in the menu, press Delete key and remove the text and type one of the possible answers, eg Painting, in that box, then click anywhere on the worksheet.
Change the text for the other buttons, button 2: Various computer applications, button 3: ‘Typing’, button 4: Microsoft, button 5: Linux, button 6: Apple, button 7: A drawing program, button 8: A photo editing program, button 9: A calculation program.

Select the first three buttons with the Ctrl key pressed, release the Ctrl key and right-click one of the selected circles, select “Format Object” in the subsequent menu.

On the “Control” tab (1) of the “Control Formatting” (2) dialog,
choose “Unchecked” (3) in the “Value”, place a checkmark next to “3D shading” (4) and then click in the box “Cell Link” (5), click in cell F2 and click OK, and click anywhere on the worksheet.

Normally it is sufficient to link one radio button to one cell for each group box, the other radio buttons of the same box are automatically linked, but if you select them all at the same time,  then also you can choose “3D shading” and  “unchecked”option.

Repeat this operation for the 4, 5 and 6 buttons, but connect them to cell F3, repeat the operation and connect the radio buttons 7,8 and 9 to cell F4.
We now test our buttons by activating buttons in each group box (1), and we see the numbers 1,2 or 3 appear (2) in the cell F2, F3 and F4. Button 1 of group box 1 gets assigned the number 1, button 2 of group box 1 gets assigned the number 2, the number 3 to button 3, button 1 of group box 2 gets assigned the number 1 again, button 2 of group box 2 of 2 gets the number 2 etc. .
