Break Even Analysis (table + chart + break even point) – Part 4

In the next dialog box, select the first textbox in the cell where the label is listed (1).
For the second text box, select the cell where the Break Even X-value is listed(2).
And for the third text box, you first remove the data listed in this, by default, and then select the cell where the Break Even Y value is listed (3).
Click the OK button.
Click the OK button again to close the “Select Data Source” dialog box.

The Break Even point was added to our table. Its just that we don’t see it clearly.
We solve this by adjusting the layout of this chart .
To do this, select the “Layout” (1) tab and select the newly added chart element (2).
That was the series’ BE number = 10 “.
Once this chart element is selected (3), press Ctrl +1 on your keyboard.

This opens the ‘Format Data Series ” dialog box.
Select the “Marker Options” tab and set the “Marker Type” to “Built-in” and type a size 5.
Click the “Close” button when you’re done.

As you see, now, the label and the Break Even point are added to the chart.

If you change one of the variables in the table, such as the unit price (1), you will automatically see that the Break Even Point (2) and the Break Even label(3), are changed in the graph.
