Cloning

With the “Clone” tool we can take samples from the current document or another document which is open in GIMP, and copy it.
First select the first “Clone” tool in the toolbox.
We first calculate the sample point.
Please press the Ctrl key on your keyboard while you click the image at the point that you want to clone (1).
Second, create an extra layer, and click and drag on it in the image where you want to place the clone (2). It is always easier to place this on a new layer.
You can always see precisely what portion is cloned (3), in the picture.

Perspective Clone

The tool “Perspective Clone” is the same as the Clone tool, you can only clone this in perspective. I do not know if it is widely used, but if you need it, it is quite convenient.
Select this tool in the toolbox.
Then select the “Perspective Clone” checkbox (1).
We must first specify, what perspective it is to follow.
Click in the image and drag the blocks that appear in the four corners of the image, so that they follow the direction of the perspective (2).

Then select the “Perspective Clone” checkbox (3).
Click with the Ctrl key pressed on the place you want to clone, which can be, for example down the line in the road.
Then click and drag in the image where you want to place the cloned part (4).
As you see in the image below, this is done nicely in perspective.

Heal

The “Heal” tool is pretty much used with the Clone tool, and we only use it to eliminate spots (A) on the picture.
Select the tool in the toolbox.

Keep the Ctrl key on your keyboard pressed, and then select a position in the image that you want to clone (1).
Then click the spot you want to eliminate (2).
Now you have a clear image (3).
