Zooming in and out

To zoom in and out in our image, we have a number of options.
The first way is the “Magnifier” option (1) that we find it in the toolbox.
When this tool is selected, we have a number of options (2).
Below this we have the check boxes “Zoom In” and “Zoom Out”. Depending on what is selected, the image will be zoomed in or out when clicked.
To zoom in or out, click on the image.
To quickly switch between zooming in and out, press the Ctrl key on your keyboard. This way you do not have to click on the boxes to zoom in or out.

However, if you click on the topmost checkbox to “Automatically adjust Windows”, then the size of the document window will automatically be adjusted (2), but only when you click and drag in the image (1)and not when you click in the picture.

Another way to zoom in and out of your image is to use the scroll wheel of your mouse. If you do this, even the “Magnifier” tool does not need to be selected.
All you have to do is press the Ctrl key on your keyboard, hold it down while the mouse moves up or down .

Move it down and it zooms out, move it up and it zooms in.

Another way is by using the zoom box in the status bar. Just click the arrow pointing downward next to this box, and select a zoom level from the list. Or, enter a value in the zoom box.

One last way is with the “View” option. (1) Click on the menu bar, select “Zoom” (2) in the drop-down menu, and select a zoom level from the list (3).

“Fit image in window” is the most useful one(4).
You can also use the keyboard shortcut “Ctrl + E”.
This automatically adjusts the document window to the zoom level.
