Downloading and installing brushes

In GIMP, we have a number of brushes (Brushes) which are installed by default.
Here, of course, we can add some more.
The first thing you do is download it.

An address for this  is  http://www.techzilo.com/gimp-brushes/ , But if you just search Google you will find that there are thousands of them.

When you have navigated to the link above, click on download brushes.

On the next page, again click the “Download” link.

You then select a folder on your computer where you want to save it.
I always use a new folder on the desktop of my computer.
The reason is, when they are installed, I can easily place this folder in my trash.
Once the zipped file is downloaded, unzip it.
Then select the unzipped files, and press Ctrl + C on your keyboard.

Then navigate to the folder on your computer which is “Brushes” in the Gimp 2.0 folder.
I cannot tell you where it is, on your computer, but usually you will find this one on the hard disk C: – Program Files – GIMP-2.0 – Share – GIMP – 2.0 – brushes.

If you find this, right click in this folder, and select “Paste” from the pop-up menu.

When you open GIMP again, and you look in the “Brushes” pane, you will see that the newly installed brushes are added.

Awesome!
