Blur / Sharpen

When we want certain parts of an image to blur or sharpen, the tool we use is the “Blur / Sharpen” tool.
Select this tool (1) in the toolbox, select “Blur/sharpen” (2) in the options window and click in the image at the place you want to change it.
Note that this tool is only useful when you have to change small portions in an image.
If you have a very low blur or sharpen you’d better use for this filter.
But we will discuss that later.

Smudge

The “Smudge” tool , simulates dragging a finger through wet paint. The tool takes on the color of the place where the stroke begins, and pushes it in the direction in which you drag. You can change existing colors in an image smearing the foreground or background colors of the image.

Select the “Smudge” tool. Set the options in the options bar and drag in the image to smear the color.

Dodge and Burn

With the Dodge /Burn tool certain areas of a picture can be made lighter or darker.
You can use “Dodge” to highlight details in shadows, and “Burn” to highlight details in highlight.

Select the tool “Dodge / Burn”.
Select “Lighter” or “Darker” from the options menu, and click and drag over the portion of the image you want to change.

Awesome!
