Available Templates
If we do not want to spend too much time in the format of “Worksheet”, and entering formulas, we can use templates.
In Excel, we have hundreds of templates that we can use for free.
To see this click the “Office” button and choose “New”.
This opens the “New Workbook” dialog.

This dialog box is divided into three parts:
On the left we find the menu with the different categories of templates.
By default, the menu item “Blank and recent” is selected.
The second menu item “Installed Templates”, shows the list of templates that are already installed on your hard drive.
The third menu item “My Templates” shows the self-made templates.
In the fourth menu item “New from existing”, we use existing templates to suit our needs.
For this you must work with an authentic version of “Microsoft Excel 2007”.

In the middle of the dialog we find examples of available templates in the selected category.
On the right of the dialog, there is a magnified view where the selected template from the middle is shown.
In the fourth menu item found under “Microsoft Office Online”, we can download an extensive selection of different templates.
For this you must work with an authentic version of “Microsoft Excel 2007”.
Click on the “More Categories” button provides more categories.
Some of the categories have subcategories.
When you are in a subcategory, use the “Back” button at the top of the dialog.
You can sort “Templates” by customer rating, or alphabetically.
The next two buttons are used to show or hide “Templates”, which are made by people from the Microsoft community.
You can search for a template by entering a keyword in the box at the top.
