Using themes

“Themes” is also a new feature in “Excel 2007”.
If you have had problems with the layout of your worksheet in the past, there is no excuse now to come out with an ugly worksheet.
With one click of a mouse, we now have access to a whole lot of professionally designed themes, which the design of your entire spreadsheet may significantly change.

A “Theme” consists of 3 parts: “Colors”,”Fonts” and “Effects”.
We find “Theme” under the “Page Layout” tab in the “Ribbon”.
Click the “Theme” button to open the menu.
The “Theme” command also has the Live Preview option.
When you move the mouse pointer over the various options, the theme is automatically displayed in a preview in the “Worksheet”.
Select the “Theme” that you like.

Change themes

To modify a theme we use the “Color” (1), Fonts (2) and Effects (3) buttons.
You can create your own theme colors and theme fonts, by clicking on the bottom of the list, or ‘Create New Theme Colors ” and “Create new theme fonts”.
For the third option “Effects”, this is not possible.
