Changing Building Blocks

Sometimes it may be necessary to change a building block.
Well to be honest, a previously created module, cannot be changed.
What we can do is adjust the Building Blockand and store it under the same name.

First add the building block to your document.
Next make the changes, and select everything.
Save this now with the same name, in the same gallery, the same category, the same folder, and under the same options.

When you do this you get the following message:

Click the button “Yes” to save it.

Removing Modules

We use the “Building Blocks Organizer” to remove blocks.
Select the tab “Insert” in the ribbon.
Click the button “Quick Parts” and select “Building Blocks Organizer …”.
This opens the dialog “Building Blocks Organizer”, where all Building Blocks are listed that are present in our application.
Select one in the list, and to the right of the dialog you see an example.

By clicking on the various column headings in the list, we can sort these building blocks by Name, Gallery, Catagory etc.

Select the module you want to delete from the list.

And click the “Delete” button.

Click “Yes” when prompted for confirmation.

Clicking on the “Edit Properties …” , one can modify the properties of the building block, not the building block itself.

When the properties of a building block have been edited, a pop-up window will appear asking you whether you want to save these changes.

By clicking on the button “Insert”, you add the selected building block to your document.

Click the “Close” button when you’re done.

Awesome!
