Filter

To the left of the window in the Bridge, we have the filter panel.
If we have a dozen pictures, it is of little interest, but if we have a thousand, even a hundred photographs, it may be useful to find a picture or multiple pictures by using filters.
We can filter by file name, Label, Rating and a number of other parameters by clicking the “Sort by …” and making a choice.

An example: we want all the photos, contained in the Beach folder on my hard drive, with a rating of three stars and a “Portrait” position.
We tick the criteria that we wish to provide, use the scroll bar to scroll down if necessary and click the right pointing arrow on the menu to expand it.
At last:

Only five photographs meet my criteria.

Moving, copying and deleting photos

First I want to say that, if you moved, copied or deleted pictures in the Bridge, this relates to the pictures on your hard disk.
For example drag a photo from the “Content-section” of the Bridge to the “bio technology” folder, then, when you look at this picture on your hard drive, it will be located in the “bio technology” folder.

To move the snapshot to another folder:
To move a picture in the Content section of the Bridge, click and drag it to where you want it.
You can also drag a photo into another open program, such as Indesign, or Paint Shop Pro. Simply, click and drag this picture in the program.

To copy a picture to another folder, click and drag the photo to the specific folder, but before you click, hold the Ctrl key on your keyboard pressed. (The Option key for Mac users)

To delete a photo select the photo and click the Delete key on your keyboard.
Adobe Bridge will get a confirmation, click Delete if you want to delete it or Cancel if you do not want.
