Lesson 20: Crop Tool (1)

20/85 Lessons

Crop Tool settings

We use the “crop” tool Image05 to cut out certain parts of our pictures.

If you do not think the photo is cropped when it assumes a certain size, you have the “Clear” button in the Options bar.
If you want to do this anyway, you give the dimensions in the different compartments (Width – Height – Resolution).

If you want to retain the same dimensions of your original picture, then click the “Front Image” button.

Clicking on the black down pointing arrow in the options bar, gives us a list of preset sizes from which we can make a choice.

We click and drag the “crop” tool over the place in the photo we want to preserve.

By clicking and dragging the blocks on the edge of the selection, we adjust the size.
By clicking and dragging the double curved arrow, we rotate the selection.

Optionally, you tick the “Shield Color” box and choose a color you have already thought to give your picture a different background color.

Click the Enter key on your keyboard when you are satisfied.
The cut portion is automatically placed horizontally.
