Healing Brush tool (healing brush)

The first thing I’m going to discuss is the “Healing Brush” Tool.
The “Healing Brush” Tool makes a copy of pixels, taking into account the structure, lighting and shade of the pixels to which it is applied.
A whole sandwich for a very simple example.
I open a picture that can use a lot of “healing”.

What I want to do, is to work on most of this guy’s wrinkles.
Select the “Healing Brush” Tool in the Toolbox.
I select a source (read source) on the photo that I want to make the copy, hold the Alt key on the keyboard pressed and click the mouse.
Click and drag over to the pixels you want to replace.

The pixel (s) (source) that are copied are marked with a cross and the mouse pointer by a circle with a cross in it.
As you move the mouse pointer, it moves the source.

If you want to work very carefully, you reduce the diameter of the brush in the options window.

New in CS 3, when you hold the Shift + Alt key on your keyboard, then it makes a transparent copy of the original. That way you have a better idea to copy from which source.
In other words, you can first see if there are going to be any problems (eg a line in the road) when you start copying.
If this is the case, you enter a different source.

Tip: When you click, hold down the shift key and click again in another place, you make a copy in a straight line. This works the same way for other editing tools such as the “sponge” tool, “burn” tool, “dodge” tool, etc. ..

Spot Healing Brush tool

The “Spot Healing Brush” tool is new from version CS 2.
It is about the same as the “Healing Brush” tool, with the difference that with the “Spot Healing Brush” tool, the source should be indicated.
Photoshop automatically calculates the surrounding pixels in the destination place. You get the best results when you give a small diameter for the “brush”.

When I applied all these imaging techniques to the picture of my wife, I returned with a younger woman. And this is without too much cost.

It thought of everything.
