Lesson 63: Vector-based forms (7)

63/85 Lessons

Make your own custom shape (Pen Tool 2)

Ok, we go further.
We now have four anchors placed, but our shape has closed automatically, it would be nice if we wanted a skirt, but we do not want that. We want shorts.
No problem, click (still with the “Pen” Tool selected) at a point in that last line and drag the mouse so that our fourth line has a slightly curved shape.
For the fifth anchor point, we must go back up, so we first define our direction anchor point four (Alt key pressed).
And click on the place where we want the fifth anchor point and drag so that our line has a slightly curved shape.
We repeat this as always and it has the following anchor points.

It is simple, if you wish a straight line, then all you need is to click, if you wish a curve, then click and drag.

The shorts of our young lady are now signed.

Our shorts are now signed, so we can now change the “opacity” of our Layer back to 100%.
You can change the color of the shorts on the fill layer by double clicking the layer.

In the next lesson we are going to apply effects on shorts and save them.
